I buy a lot of things so I don't usually have time to leave reviews. But this dryer is do good so HAD to. I love this dryer. LOVE THIS DRYER. I was hesitant to spend this much on a dryer but after using it I'm very pleased with it. It's not as big as I thought it would be, which is good. People made it sound huge and cumbersome. It's easy to roll, and although it's big, not so big to be difficult to put out of sight. I had a hard time putting it together at first. But customer service is based here in the U.S. and was so efficient. The young lady helping me even gave me her cell phone number to send pictures and text her for help! After realizing what I was doing wrong it took 5 minutes to assemble, maybe less. So for the average person it's very easy to put together. It works excellent! I have very thick mixed race natural hair and it dries great. Roller set done in under 90 minutes. I say buy it. Don't hesitate. Customer service goes above and beyond and it really works!

The Pibbs #514 Kwik Dryer hairdryer is easy to assemble and easy to use. The supporting pole is solid, and the casters are large and roll easily, even on thick carpeting. Also, it's easy to adjust the pole, up or down, to get the height you need. The dryer comes with handy 2 dials: one by which you can adjust the temperature (so you keep it from getting too hot or too cool), and the other for adjusting the timer (up to 60 minutes).
Since the air flows up & back into the heating mechanism, it's important to protect your hair when inside the dryer. For that purpose, Pibbs includes with the dryer a hairnet. The hairnet is small & delicate, so, to protect a lot of thick hair, you should purchase a larger, sturdier hairnet.
Why 4 stars instead of 5? One reason only: the hinge that raises and lowers the visor is not sturdy. It is mostly plastic. I have to slightly force the visor to move up or down, and, which, in turn, forces the hinge to move (& squeak), and I worry that the hinge will break. That hasn't happened...yet. Overall, however, I like this product so much that I'm considering getting another one to use in my NYC apartment. Good luck & enjoy!

I'm trying my new dryer for the first time and all I can say is wow! This thing is awesome! At first glance you can tell it is top quality materials. This is not a cheap dryer. It's definitely professional. It's completely adjustable in height and the dryer portion swivels all the way up, so that it can be pointed towards the ceiling. I can finally sit comfortably in a chair with the dryer behind me, not propped up on the floor with pillows, while my old portable dryer teeters precariously behind me on the couch. I use Curlformers quite a bit and a full head of these rollers can fit under the hood. I don't have to bend my head in different directions to make sure the heat is hitting all parts of my head. This dryer gets hot, and the temperature is adjustable so you can get it just right for you. It is also deceivingly quiet, which was a nice surprise. Again, my cheap portable dryer was much louder than this and didn't even come close in terms of drying power. The price tag is pretty steep and I waited over a year before taking the plunge, but it was well worth it. I'm looking forward to many happy hair years.

I had ordered another hair dryer that looked like this that was cheaper and had legs of plastic and the hood wasn't made as well either. This is made so well. The legs are nice sturdy stainless steel and the hood is nice and sturdy as well. It may cost a little more, but so worth it. I am so happy with it. Others may look like this, but are not even close to this. I wish I would have found this one first when I was looking for this kind of hair dryer. The best!

I had NO idea which kind of dryer to choose because there are so many options. This dryer IS expensive compared to the other ones I researched, however, it was the same dryer that my hair salon used to dry my hair when I went. I have long, wavy, curly, thick, frizzy hair, and this is the first line of defense to combat that. I use the 3in rollers for the top, the gray rollers for the side/top, and the purple rollers for the sides and it all fits under the dryer. Based on prior knowledge of going to a 'dominican' hair stylist every 2 weeks, I was well aware that I needed a hair net before I used this dryer. They do include a hair net but I would recommend a buying a larger one when using larger rollers. The hardest part of using this dryer is not actually the dryer but rolling your hair to sit under the dryer. The second time around I had a plan for separating my hair and sectioning equal portions to wrap around the rollers. I do 1 hour on 50 degrees with something covering my ear(socks). I still have to blow dry my hair (roots mostly) after I take out the rollers but it takes me 1/8th of the time versus blowing drying only and there is hardly any burning. Plus while I'm under the dryer I'm usually working on my computer or watching Netflix on my phone.
